Does your cat need special care?

Medical Conditions

We have over 50 years combined experience looking after cats and other pets.
We welcome all cats – elderly and frail, nervous and shy, invalids and those with medical conditions such as diabetes, heart, kidney, thyroid conditions etc.
We are able to administer any medication, special diet or nursing care that your cat may need. All medications are administered at no extra charge – pills, creams and ointments, insulin injections, suppositories, dressings etc.
If your cat requires a special diet for medical reasons, we ask that you supply the food and we will feed it at no extra cost.
Local vets are readily available 24 hours if required.

Grooming

All long haired cats are regularly brushed and de-knotted if appropriate.

Nails can be trimmed if required.

Kittens

We accept kittens as young as 6 weeks old, as long as they have been weaned and have received their first vaccination.

We feed kitten food formulations, wet and dry. But if you have your own particular formulation you wish us to use please supply this.

Most kittens have been neutered (de-sexed) by the time they have been adopted but in the event this is not the case please be sure to inform us.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT UN-NEUTERED MALES AFTER THE AGE OF 6 MONTHS

Is your cat fully vaccinated?

Vaccination Requirements

Vaccinations, worm and flea treatments need to be current at the time of boarding.

All cats must be vaccinated annually. We no longer accept the three-yearly vaccination protocol due to the increase in the cases of ‘cat flu’. Please check with your vet if you are unsure of your cat’s vaccination status.

On arrival we will need to sight written evidence of vaccination, either in the form of your cat’s vaccination book or a signed letter from your vet identifying your cat and stating the relevant vaccine used, date it was administered and date next vaccination is due.

Whilst every care will be taken to ensure the health, safety and welfare of your cat, should he or she become ill in any way we reserve the right to consult a vet if we consider it necessary. Any vet fees incurred will be payable by you as the cat’s owner.

Flexible hours by appointment

Our pet hotel is open 365 days a year. We offer extremely flexible hours (by appointment only), as we understand that dealing with catteries with narrow hours of operation can be difficult, especially if you are leaving or arriving early or late in the day. We try to fit with your travel arrangements whenever reasonably possible.

Moving Overseas or Across the Country?

We can arrange transportation of your cats both internationally and domestically. From boarding them while you pack and taking them to the airport to join you once you have completed your move; to picking them up from the airport and bringing them to the cattery to relax while you make your move.
